FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Here is some important info you may find useful when renting our mobile stages. If you still have questions, don’t hesitate to contact us. We’re here to help.

Yes and Band World needs to be a “Named Insured” on the event policy and a copy must be sent to us no later than 48 hours before the beginning of the event set up.

It is always a good idea to do a site inspection, even if you have done events in your preferred location before. Things can change. A proper inspection takes into account the type of ground the stage will be set-up on (pavement, grass, dirt, etc… ), whether the surface is capable of withstanding the weight of the stage, makes note of any overhead obstructions, checks for proper access to the site.

Absolutely! Lighting, sound & video equipment can be rigged on all our stages. To avoid any last minute disappointments, please supply us with a rigging plot showing accurate projected weights and placements and submit it with your insurance at least 48 hours prior to load-in. We have templates available. The onsite Band World technician will have the final say as to how & what can be hung from our roofs.

Yes. Engineer’s Certifications are available for each Stageline we own and are available upon request.

SL320

Once the SL320 trailer has been parked in it’s preferred location, it takes approximately 2 hours to open up the roof and floor and attach the windwall to get it to a point where your production rigging and/or banners can be installed. Once all the rigging is installed, the roof can then be raised to trim height and the truss legs secured. This part usually takes another 2 hours. So, 2 hours + rigging time + 2 hours. Typically, the whole process usually takes 4-6 hours before any weight can be supported from the roof.

SL250 & SL100

These 2 models are very similar in their set-up procedures. Once the unit is in position, it takes about an hour to secure the floor and prepare the roof and windwalls. At this point, any rigging and banners are installed. It then takes approximately another hour to raise and secure the roof. So, 1 hour + rigging/banners + 1 hour. Typically, the whole process usually takes about 4 hours before any weight can be supported from the roof.

SL100MIX

It can take anywhere from 3-6 hours to completely set this unit up, depending on your floor height requirements. One of the features of the SL100MIX is it’s ability to lower one part of the floor to provide a split level stage, allowing audio to set up their position closer to the ground and lighting to have their position a little higher. Since this is achieved through manual means, it takes somewhat longer to install and secure.
